Branch Manager – Jordan

About the role

FICHTNER is looking for a Branch Manager to represent the company in Jordan and drive business development across the region. You will be the primary point of contact for authorities, clients, partners and internal teams, ensuring smooth project delivery and market growth.

Key responsibilities

• Represent FICHTNER in Jordan, managing all local branch activities and stakeholder relationships.
• Support project implementation in Jordan and neighboring countries (Iraq, Syria, Palestinian Territories, Lebanon) in coordination with business divisions.
• Identify new opportunities across technical segments and prepare or coordinate proposals.
• Maintain communication with Head Office, providing on‑ground insights on initiatives, market trends and potential projects.
• Build and manage a local partner network and coordinate service providers as needed.
• Facilitate collaboration between the Jordan office and teams in Germany and other regions.
• Oversee local branch personnel and handle administrative matters.

Required profile

• Academic background in engineering, environmental sciences or a related field.
• Professional experience designing, tendering and implementing infrastructure projects, preferably in consultancy.
• Experience in business development, sales engineering, project coordination or stakeholder engagement within the Middle East.
• Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, client expectations and cultural contexts.
• Knowledge of projects funded by international donors or development banks is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills, high self‑organisation and reliability.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, willing to be permanently based in Amman and travel regionally.
