Courier – Delivery & Pickup Specialist

About the role

The Courier is responsible for sorting, delivering, and picking up inbound and outbound shipments within the designated service area, ensuring high‑quality service for customers in line with DHL standards.

Key responsibilities

• Complete all deliveries and pickups for each cycle promptly and professionally.
• Scan shipments and fulfil all system requirements, ensuring accurate and timely data download.
• Prepare and verify all paperwork for pickups and deliveries before freight is re‑weighed.
• Maintain security of freight, facilities, and personnel, and suggest improvements to meet KPI standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, upholding DHL’s professional image.
• Promote and sell value‑added services such as TDD, Import Express, and insurance, contributing to sales incentives.
• Coordinate with dispatch to ensure pickups and requests are actioned as committed.
• Keep the vehicle clean and drive safely, complying with traffic regulations.
• Follow ISO procedures, safe working practices, and company policies, including dress code and grooming standards.

Required profile

• Ability to manage day‑to‑day customer queries and resolve issues on the assigned route.
• Strong organisational skills to plan routes, meet delivery deadlines, and complete paperwork.
• Proactive attitude toward safety, security, and continuous improvement.
• Good communication skills for interaction with customers, dispatch, and team members.

Required skills

• Shipment scanning and data entry.
• Understanding of ISO ground‑operation procedures.
• Basic knowledge of value‑added logistics services (e.g., TDD, insurance).
