Financial Controller – Finance Leader for Building Management Business

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function of a Building Management and Control Systems business. The role will shape financial policies, drive planning and reporting, and ensure robust internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑range financial planning.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and liquidity, optimizing banking and treasury activities.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual management reporting and preparation of financial statements.
• Develop, implement and maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor financial performance, analyse variances and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Partner with project and operations teams on project costing, margins and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate external audits and manage relationships with auditors and financial institutions.
• Improve finance processes, systems and controls for scalability and efficiency.
• Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant finance experience, including supervisory responsibility.
• Proven expertise in budgeting, cash‑flow management, management reporting and financial controls.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Experience in GCC markets and exposure to project‑based or engineering environments is an advantage.
