General Engineering Technician & Electrician

About the role

The General Engineering Technician & Electrician provides on‑site maintenance and repair services for guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities. You will ensure that all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems operate safely and efficiently while delivering a high level of guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, HVAC units, and mechanical room assets.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components, plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems, and landscaping sprinklers.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and complete clean‑up of work areas.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and use the Lockout/Tagout system before work.
• Communicate daily activities and hand‑over information to the next shift using approved procedures.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, including proper handling of flammable materials.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, and general building systems.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb and perform heavier tasks with assistance.
• Strong attention to safety procedures and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and good communication skills with guests and colleagues.
