Mechanical Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Technician to support the maintenance of property vehicles at our hotel in Amman. The role involves routine checks, preventive upkeep, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform minor routine maintenance on engineering trucks, shuttle vans and electric carts, including oil and fluid checks, tire pressure, battery charging and spark‑plug replacement.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, cleaning and lubricating as required.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies, requisitioning items when needed.
• Record daily operation, maintenance and safety activities, logging test results, instrument readings and equipment malfunctions.
• Follow company safety policies, report hazards, complete safety training and store flammable materials properly.
• Ensure professional appearance, protect company assets and handle confidential information.
• Communicate clearly with team members, prepare documentation and answer telephone inquiries.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, inspecting tools, and reaching overhead or below knee level.
• Assist with any additional duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of related mechanical or vehicle maintenance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
