Security Specialist

About the role

The Security Specialist will support the implementation of terminal security controls and monitoring activities at Noatum Ports Jordan in Aqaba. The role focuses on protecting employees, visitors, cargo, assets and facilities through proactive inspections, surveillance and incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security inspections and patrols across the terminal.
• Monitor access control systems and enforce security procedures.
• Support CCTV and other surveillance activities.
• Identify, document and report security risks.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and maintain detailed logs.
• Assist investigations and provide evidence as needed.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
• Participate in emergency response drills and security exercises.
• Monitor contractor and visitor compliance with security requirements.
• Escalate breaches or unusual activities to senior security staff.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of security controls.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant security experience.
• Experience in port, terminal, logistics, industrial or critical infrastructure environments is an advantage.
• Relevant security training or certification preferred.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
