Senior Assessment Officer – Shelter & Sites (Amman)

About the role
IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Assessment Officer to lead shelter and site management assessments in the occupied Palestinian territory. Based in Amman, the role supports evidence‑based humanitarian response through research, data collection and analysis.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement and oversee shelter and site assessments, including targeted, area‑based and neighbourhood studies.
- Collect, manage and analyse quantitative and qualitative data using GIS and remote‑sensing tools.
- Prepare assessment reports, briefing notes and disseminate findings to humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
- Coordinate with external partners, clusters and stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational priorities.
- Provide analytical support for cash and market assessments and contribute to strategic planning.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in humanitarian assessment, shelter or site management research.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality outputs.
- Excellent written and presentation skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
