Staff Software Engineer (Backend & Cloud Native)

About the role

NeoRx is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend and cloud‑native solutions. You will work with Go, Rust, Kubernetes and microservices to ensure high performance, reliability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend services using Go and Rust.
• Design and maintain microservices and distributed systems.
• Build REST APIs and gRPC services.
• Implement cloud‑native solutions with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Create event‑driven architectures using Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Integrate applications with databases and external services.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical design and code reviews.
• Troubleshoot and optimise performance and scalability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and operational excellence.
• Leverage AI‑assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Go and Rust.
• Strong background in microservices architectures.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
