Data Center Operation & Maintenance Sr. Engineer

About the role

The Data Center Operation & Maintenance Sr. Engineer ensures the availability, reliability, and safe operation of data center facilities across multiple sites. You will lead preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities for critical electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical infrastructure in a 24×7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of power, UPS, DC, battery, generator, cooling, fire protection, and environmental monitoring systems.
• Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, including equipment testing, fault diagnosis, and documentation of technical reports.
• Manage data‑center incidents, equipment failures, and alarms, providing immediate corrective actions and root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate colocation customer activities such as rack preparation, power allocation, equipment installation, cooling verification, migrations, expansions, and decommissioning.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, emergency procedures, single‑line diagrams, maintenance records, and as‑built documentation.
• Lead change management for critical activities, including risk assessments, rollback plans, and safety requirements while maintaining service availability.
• Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, health checks, and compliance reviews to identify operational risks and capacity limitations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data‑center operations and maintenance, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Strong understanding of critical infrastructure systems and ability to work in a 24×7 environment.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Ability to coordinate with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
