Disability-inclusive Education Consultant (Remote, 11 months)

About the role

This 11‑month consultancy supports the Secretariat of the Leadership Council on Disability‑Inclusive Education. Working remotely, the consultant will provide technical expertise and coordination to advance inclusive education globally.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate Leadership Council activities, meetings, partnerships and advocacy efforts.
• Develop policy briefs, technical papers, advocacy materials and reporting outputs.
• Support implementation of evidence‑based approaches for inclusive education reforms.
• Facilitate translation of global commitments into concrete education system changes.
• Provide technical advisory support to selected UNICEF country offices as needed.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in inclusive or special education, international education, human development, social sciences or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in international disability‑inclusion or disability‑inclusive education.
• Proven ability to draft high‑quality technical, policy, advocacy and reporting documents for senior stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating complex multi‑stakeholder partnerships involving governments, UN agencies, donors, NGOs and persons‑with‑disabilities organisations.
• Strong capacity to synthesize political, partnership and technical discussions into clear recommendations.
