Education Project Intern

About the role

UNRWA’s Education Programme in Amman is looking for a motivated intern to support the development and revision of learning materials, policy research and project coordination. The role offers hands‑on experience in education policy, curriculum development and digital learning within a United Nations environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and revising learning materials, ensuring alignment with UN principles and UNESCO standards.
• Conduct literature reviews, gather data and synthesize case studies for policy and research reports.
• Support drafting and reviewing policy documents, summarising key issues and recommendations.
• Prepare background briefs, meeting notes and summaries of workshops, trainings and seminars.
• Organise information for reports and presentations in clear, accessible formats.
• Manage workflow for education policy and curriculum development tasks.
• Perform desk research on best practices in education policy, digital learning and teacher capacity‑building.
• Ensure final documents meet UNRWA branding and quality guidelines.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme (or higher) in a relevant field.
• Specialisation in education areas such as curriculum, teaching and learning, education policy, digital education or education in emergencies.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in policy analysis or project management.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Power BI (data analysis and visualisation).
