Finance Team Lead

About the role

The Finance Team Lead will oversee daily finance operations for Jeeny, a leading ride‑hailing platform in the Middle East. You will ensure accurate financial records, drive reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and provide insights that support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering high performance and professional growth.
• Manage day‑to‑day accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare, review and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Drive the budgeting and forecasting process and monitor actual performance against plans.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, safeguard assets and support external audits.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and liquidity requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation within the finance function.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support business initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification (FMVA, CMA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
• 5‑8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 2‑3 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
