Freight Communication Executive

About the role

The Freight Communication Executive ensures smooth communication between clients, carriers, and internal teams throughout the freight and logistics process. This role combines customer‑service expertise with logistics knowledge to keep shipments on track and enhance overall satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders regarding freight operations.
• Provide timely updates on shipment status, delivery schedules, and any potential delays.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and resolve concerns to maintain high service standards.
• Assist customers with required documentation and compliance for freight shipments.
• Collaborate with operations, customs, and compliance teams to ensure smooth handling and clearance of goods.
• Maintain accurate records of communications, shipment statuses, and operational metrics.
• Prepare and distribute reports on freight activities, performance metrics, and customer feedback.
• Identify, escalate, and help resolve potential issues in the freight process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
• 3‑5 years of experience in customer service or communication roles, preferably within logistics or freight forwarding.
• Previous exposure to logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain management is an advantage.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and freight management software.
