Mechanical Design Engineer (MEP)

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Amman. The role focuses on the design and development of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire‑protection systems for diverse building projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance with relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical design calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Design HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire‑protection systems.
• Perform cooling and heating load calculations and size equipment.
• Develop detailed design drawings and BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordinate designs with electrical, architectural, and structural teams.
• Prepare BOQs, technical reports, and engineering documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and project coordination meetings.
• Support tendering and construction phases, ensuring code compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in MEP consulting or design firms.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire‑protection system design.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Revit MEP.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with BIM coordination.
• Familiarity with HAP, Pipe Sizer, or Elite Software.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
