Mobile Engineer – Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP)

About the role

SPICE is looking for a Mobile Engineer specialized in Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) to join its fast‑moving team in Amman. You will own the shared codebase that powers the iOS and Android apps used by diners to book premium restaurant experiences, delivering a multilingual, payments‑first product.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain shared KMP modules covering business logic, networking, data and domain layers.
• Ship end‑to‑end features on both Android and iOS, from product discovery through production release.
• Implement platform‑specific integrations using Jetpack and Gradle on Android and Swift interop with CocoaPods or Swift Package Manager on iOS.
• Contribute to architectural decisions on modularity, dependency injection and shared UI strategy.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Lead, designers and product team to translate requirements into polished mobile experiences.
• Leverage AI tooling such as Cursor or Claude to accelerate development.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on mobile development experience.
• 1–2 years of production experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP/KMM).
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and its multiplatform capabilities.
• Solid understanding of clean architecture, dependency injection and modular project structures.
• Proactive communicator comfortable discussing trade‑offs with engineers and product owners.
