Programme Funding Portfolio Development Specialist – MENAEE

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a specialist to lead the development and optimisation of its SCI‑led programme funding portfolio across the MENAEE region. The role provides strategic, portfolio‑level support, translating global donor signals into actionable guidance for country offices.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the SCI‑led funding portfolio to identify priority markets, donors and funding modalities.
• Develop and implement portfolio optimisation strategies that enhance income quality, affordability and strategic fit.
• Provide strategic guidance and targeted operational support for complex, multi‑country funding proposals.
• Identify cross‑market opportunities, risks and trade‑offs and translate them into country‑level recommendations.
• Collaborate with country offices, humanitarian teams and external partners to align funding activities with the Global Strategy and Funding Framework.
• Monitor market developments and donor trends to inform portfolio decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in programme funding, portfolio management or donor relations within an international development or humanitarian context.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize market data and donor signals.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Ability to work across multiple countries and cultures, influencing senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel up to 20 % of the time.
