Recreational Services Associate

About the role

The Recreational Services Associate supports daily operations of the Morale Welfare & Recreation (MWR) center, lounge/bar, learning resource center, theater, media center and related services. The role combines customer service, cash handling, basic maintenance and event support to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cashier duties, bartending, and customer service across all recreational facilities.
• Maintain cleanliness, conduct basic repairs, and manage inventory and stocking of supplies.
• Provide technical assistance for equipment, set up and break down tables, chairs, audio‑visual gear, stages and other government‑furnished items.
• Guide tours, organize day trips, and support special events and games.
• Execute escort duties for the LN workforce in accordance with 332 AEWI and AFCENTI 32‑1002, obtaining an escort badge.
• Track and issue CAC equipment, manage alcohol sales, and ensure accurate inventory records.
• Stock bottled water in refrigeration units and offer complimentary snacks such as popcorn.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional atmosphere in all facilities.
• Complete required Vectrus and Government training, safeguard government property, and follow time‑reporting procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to deliver excellent customer service in a fast‑paced recreational environment.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain an escort badge and follow related security protocols.
• Capability to perform basic maintenance, cleaning and equipment handling tasks.
• Attention to detail for inventory control, cash handling and alcohol sales compliance.
• Commitment to completing mandatory training and adhering to safety standards.
