Senior Accountant

About the role

Arab Mine Action Consultancy Crew (AMACC) is looking for a highly qualified Senior Accountant to lead accounting operations across its main office and branch locations. The role focuses on ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and delivering insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and review daily and monthly journal entries in line with the approved accounting cycle.
• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare adjustment memos for senior management.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely settlements.
• Track actual expenses versus approved budgets and generate variance reports.
• Prepare monthly financial analyses covering revenues, expenses, and cash flow.
• Participate in annual budget preparation and monitor adherence.
• Review and reconcile monthly financial statements from branches against allocated budgets.
• Manage petty cash reconciliations and coordinate bank transactions.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, social security requirements, and internal financial instructions.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks, legal advisors, and official authorities.
• Provide guidance to branch accountants to standardize procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3‑5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a senior accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial systems, and tax regulations.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting systems; experience with Mozon is a plus.
