Senior Buyer

About the role

The Senior Buyer will lead procurement activities, ensuring compliance with Arab Bank's policies while delivering value through effective vendor management. You will supervise a team of buyers, coordinate complex purchase requests, and support internal stakeholders across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and procedures.
• Supervise and monitor the performance of the Buyers team.
• Track internal client purchase requests to guarantee accurate and timely processing.
• Prepare RFPs, RFQs, RFIs and supplier bid lists for complex and non‑standard projects.
• Evaluate financial proposals and negotiate optimal terms, price, quality and delivery with vendors.
• Formulate purchase recommendations and issue purchase orders.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day interactions with suppliers.
• Assist in reviewing country‑wide purchase approvals and maintain supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of all bids and support the Payables Section in resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Resolve claims related to material or service non‑conformance and provide on‑the‑job training for new and existing buyers.

Required profile

• University degree in IT, Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of procurement experience.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
• Strong negotiation, communication and time‑management abilities.
• Active learner with high personal integrity and the capacity to make decisions within delegated authority.
