SPS Customer Service & Demand Planner Specialist

About the role

This position supports Syngenta’s customers in the MENAF region by ensuring orders are accurately captured, forecasts are up‑to‑date, and logistics requirements are communicated across functions. The specialist acts as the primary liaison between customers, business managers and internal teams to guarantee on‑time delivery and compliance with Syngenta policies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and place customer orders in line with forecast and planned fence time.
• Regularly update MENAF customer forecasts together with the Business Manager.
• Provide order status information to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Transform customer orders into the appropriate internal tools and ensure logistics requirements are communicated.
• Forward pro‑forma invoices, quotes and related documents to customers on behalf of HQ.
• Proactively communicate with customers to understand needs and manage order exceptions.
• Coordinate complaint handling and feed back to Business Manager and relevant functions.
• Support letter of credit procedures in collaboration with Trade Finance and Business.
• Maintain accurate customer master data and agreements.
• Ensure forecasts are visible early, monitor phase‑out products and update Best View (SPS/IBP) daily.
• Own events in the EDF tool based on commercial instructions and support monthly forecast reviews.
• Report lost sales or opportunities and conduct training sessions for customers.
• Lead local projects across strategy, finance, IS and site management while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Syngenta policies, external regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, Business Managers and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to handle order exceptions, complaints and provide timely feedback.
• Experience in coordinating forecasts, demand planning and logistics communication.
• Proven capability to lead and follow‑up on local projects while maintaining confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with forecasting tools such as SPS/IBP and Best View.
• Experience using the EDF tool for event management.
• Familiarity with order management and customer master data systems.
