Senior Data Warehouse Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Warehouse Consultant with more than 10 years of hands‑on experience to lead the design, build and optimisation of enterprise data‑warehouse solutions for a banking client. The role will drive architecture and delivery initiatives, turning complex business requirements into scalable, high‑performance, and regulatory‑compliant data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data‑warehouse architecture and delivery across the organisation.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data models and high‑performance ETL pipelines.
• Support regulatory reporting, risk analytics, customer analytics and executive decision‑making through robust data platforms.
• Collaborate with core banking system owners (e.g., Flexcube, T24) to integrate source data.
• Ensure data governance, lineage, and quality across all data assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in data warehousing, BI and data engineering, with at least 7 years in banking or financial services.
• Proven track record of delivering 2‑3 end‑to‑end enterprise data‑warehouse implementations in a senior or lead capacity.
• Experience in consulting or system‑integrator environments is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as CDMP, cloud data‑engineer, or TOGAF are preferred.

Required skills

• Data‑warehouse architecture & modelling (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).
• Dimensional modelling – star/snowflake schemas, SCD Types 1/2/3, fact/dimension design.
• Enterprise RDBMS expertise – Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, PostgreSQL.
• Big‑data ecosystems – Hadoop, Spark, data‑lake/lakehouse concepts.
• BI & reporting tools – Power BI, Tableau, OBIEE/OAC, MicroStrategy.
• Data‑governance frameworks, metadata management, master data management.
• Data‑catalog tools – Collibra, Alation, Informatica EDC.
• Core banking systems knowledge – Flexcube, T24 and related source‑system landscapes.
