Senior Software Engineer – .NET

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with deep .NET expertise to join Cotiviti’s product development team in South Jordan, UT (telecommuting available nationwide). You will design, build and maintain high‑quality software components that power our healthcare and insurance payments solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, support and enhance .NET software modules for the Cotiviti product suite.
• Analyze and resolve internal and external software issues.
• Document specifications, designs and operational procedures prior to production rollout.
• Implement performance and availability improvements.
• Communicate technical and operational matters to engineering and business leadership.
• Adhere to technology standards and contribute innovative ideas to improve processes.
• Follow the Cotiviti Software Development Lifecycle with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with senior developers, offshore teams, business owners and project managers.
• Mentor junior developers on best engineering practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (or foreign equivalent).
• Minimum five years of professional .NET development experience, including C# and ASP.NET.
• Experience with MVC, T‑SQL, HTML, XML, JavaScript and object‑oriented design patterns.
• Familiarity with functional programming, MySQL, SQL, WCF, Ajax, DHTMLX and jQuery.
• Hands‑on practice of continuous integration, unit testing, refactoring and code reviews.
• At least one year of experience in healthcare or insurance payments processing.
