Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Equiti is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join its Engineering Platforms team in Amman. You will be responsible for strengthening the reliability, resiliency, and observability of the company’s cloud platforms, supporting fintech products used across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the Resiliency pillar of the Well‑Architected Framework across designs and operations.
• Design and run Chaos Engineering experiments to validate system fault tolerance.
• Assess and oversee cloud migration and modernization workloads, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Develop and refactor observability solutions (metrics, logs, traces) for existing cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to align observability at service and organizational levels.
• Continuously evaluate deployments for compliance with reliability standards and operational readiness.
• Identify gaps in observability, drive corrective actions, and improve alerting quality.
• Participate in capacity planning, performance analysis, and system tuning.
• Mentor engineers on reliability practices and contribute to a 24/7 on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• 3+ years in a Site Reliability, Platform, or Reliability Engineering role.
• Practical experience with monitoring tools and Application Performance Management (APM) solutions.
