Technical Assistant – CAD

About the role

UNRWA is looking for a Technical Assistant specialized in CAD to support its engineering and architectural teams at the headquarters in Amman. The role involves preparing accurate drawings and 3‑D visualisations that contribute to the agency’s infrastructure projects for Palestine refugees.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare AutoCAD drafting work for site surveys, schematic, concept, master‑plan, and detailed architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Create 3‑dimensional presentation drawings, diagrams and charts for team presentations.
• Produce hard‑copy drawings for supervisor review and approval.
• Assist division heads in daily operations to ensure continuous workflow.
• Develop drawings for remodeling existing buildings and for housing & shelter projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary diploma in civil, architectural or structural engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five years of experience in AutoCAD drafting, graphic work and 3‑D applications.
• Experience with engineering office equipment such as plotters and drawing photocopiers.
• Ability to disclose current involvement in external activities as required.
