Web Editor – Internal Candidates Only

About the role

The Web Editor will lead the design, development and maintenance of UNRWA’s websites, ensuring a high‑quality user experience and alignment with the agency’s communication goals. This position reports to the Director of Communications and supervises language‑specific web staff.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and recommend policies, processes and procedures to improve website design, usability and compliance with industry standards.
• Design interactive and immersive web pages using web‑design platforms (e.g., VeV) and content management systems (CMS).
• Supervise the English Language Website Manager and the Arabic Language Webmaster, ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date content in both languages.
• Collaborate with the Head of Creative Digital & Multimedia and field focal points to produce web content such as stories, videos and photo essays.
• Analyze website performance statistics, perform SEO tasks and coordinate with web and social‑media vendors to adopt new technologies.
• Assist the Director of Communications in creating compelling designs and content for social‑media platforms and provide web‑communication guidance across the agency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
