Coordination Technical Officer – Jordan INGO Forum

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council is seeking a Coordination Technical Officer to support the Jordan INGO Forum (JIF). Based in Amman, the officer will work closely with the JIF Steering Committee and Director to strengthen relationships with national and international stakeholders and to facilitate coordinated government engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to NRC policies, guidance and procedures.
• Contribute to the development of a government engagement strategy, identifying needs and gaps.
• Develop and coordinate the sharing of JIF guidance on government policies, donor requirements, UN directives and civil‑society updates.
• Support the JIF Director and Steering Committee in representing member concerns to ministries and in responding to enquiries.
• Track and disseminate relevant Jordanian government regulations (e.g., JORISS, FFM, Takamul) to all INGOs.
• Provide regular briefings on policy changes and their impact on JIF members.
• Maintain positive working relations with key ministries such as MoI, MoPIC, MoSD, MoE and MoH.
• Liaise with stakeholders and represent JIF in relevant coordination forums.
