External Audit Senior Associate – Banking & Insurance

About the role

Join PwC Middle East’s Assurance Center of Excellence as a Senior Associate in the External Audit Remote Team. You will support key banking and insurance clients across the GCC, delivering high‑quality audit services while working virtually.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Examine accounting records, inventory, plant and equipment, and other supporting documentation.
• Ask written and oral questions to client personnel to gather necessary audit evidence.
• Test internal controls and processes, documenting findings and recommendations.
• Research client‑industry information before engagements to build contextual understanding.
• Communicate progress, risks, and issues promptly to managers and partners.
• Take full ownership of external audit file completion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Required profile

• Senior Associate level with solid experience in external audit, preferably in banking or insurance.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment and collaborate with global teams.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with client stakeholders.
