General Accountant

About the role

We are a leading accounting and auditing firm in Amman seeking a motivated General Accountant to support our industrial and commercial clients. The role involves managing daily accounting activities and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage day‑to‑day accounting operations for clients, ensuring financial accuracy.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain general ledger activities.
• Handle cost accounting, inventory valuation, and supply‑chain financials for industrial and commercial operations.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable, and follow up on aging reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, closing procedures, and tax filings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in general accounting.
• Previous corporate experience within industrial and commercial companies.
• High proficiency with professional accounting software, ERP systems, and advanced MS Excel.
