Junior Accountant

About the role

Zaya Jewelry is looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join its central finance team at the Main Office in Um Uthaina, Amman. Reporting directly to Executive Management, the role supports daily financial operations across retail and central functions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily sales and banking reconciliations, including POS and payment‑gateway matching.
• Audit petty cash, expense reports and ensure VAT compliance.
• Manage accounts payable, vendor three‑way matching and disbursement processing.
• Maintain payroll records, statutory deductions and payslip filing.
• Reconcile inventory losses, support audit balance verification and variance analysis.
• Assist with financial archiving, document retention and reporting support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Full‑time on‑site availability at the Main Office in Amman.
• Strong knowledge of local tax regulations, VAT invoicing and social security withholdings.
• High numerical accuracy and meticulous record‑keeping.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with accounting software and ERP platforms (e.g., Shopify ERP).
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Familiarity with HR/payroll portals such as ZenHR.
