Senior Assessment Officer – Shelter & Sites (OPt)

About the role

IMPACT Initiatives is seeking a Senior Assessment Officer to support its humanitarian operations in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt). Based in Amman, the role focuses on shelter and site assessments, data collection, and the analysis of geographic information to inform relief interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field assessments of shelter needs and site conditions in the oPt.
• Collect, manage, and analyse quantitative and qualitative data related to shelter and non‑food items.
• Utilise GIS and remote‑sensing tools to map affected areas and produce spatial analyses.
• Prepare accurate reports and visualisations for partners and donors.
• Coordinate with local authorities, NGOs, and IMPACT teams to ensure data quality and relevance.

Required profile

• Significant experience in humanitarian shelter or site assessments.
• Proven ability to work in complex, conflict‑affected environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to data accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
