Housekeeping Attendant

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which includes more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels and 10,000 restaurants and lifestyle destinations, is looking for a Housekeeping Attendant. The role ensures high standards of guest service through the application of Fairmont standard operating policies and covers linen handling, cleaning and guest support.

Key responsibilities

• Empty soiled linen regularly from the pantry and return it to the linen room, and restock pantries with clean linen according to par stock
• Help the linen room with daily tasks and report lost-and-found items and malfunctioning equipment to the Royal Service office
• Sign for assigned keys, pagers and work papers and return them by the end of the shift
• Vacuum corridors and staircases as assigned, and bring guest supplies to pantries weekly according to the order list
• Note guest requests received through the Royal Service office or supervisors and carry them out exactly
• Move furniture, refill daily chemicals, clean walls, lights and ceiling lights as required, and help remove guestroom drapery for cleaning
• Perform deep cleaning tasks such as spot carpet cleaning and shower head de-scaling, and replace broken guestroom light bulbs
• Keep the Housekeeping office, floor pantries and storerooms clean and tidy, and report health and safety hazards
• Assist in on-the-job training of new housekeepers, attend Housekeeping and Human Resources training courses, and help cover for absent team members

Required profile

• Competency in spoken English is essential; fluency in English is required, with additional languages a plus
• Previous hotel housekeeping experience is desirable, as is customer service and 5-star property experience
• Dynamic, energetic and able to thrive under pressure
• Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
