Restaurant Manager - Full Time

About the role

A full-time Restaurant Manager position in Amman, Jordan, covering restaurants, bars and room service. The manager supervises daily restaurant operations, supports menu planning, keeps sanitation standards and helps servers and hosts during peak meal periods, while improving guest and employee satisfaction and the financial performance of the area.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage employees, understand their roles and cover their duties in their absence
• Maintain service and sanitation standards in the restaurant, bar/lounge and room service areas
• Review staffing levels to meet guest service, operational and financial objectives
• Lead the food and beverage team, coach and mentor staff, set goals and priorities and ensure compliance with food safety, liquor laws and hotel policies
• Deliver exceptional customer service, handle guest complaints and collect feedback to drive continuous improvement
• Manage human resources: set performance standards, run training and development, treat employees fairly and improve retention
• Oversee the financial side of the department, including purchasing and invoice payments
• Assist servers and hosts during busy periods and supervise shifts in the absence of the Assistant Restaurant Manager

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, or a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field
• 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary or a related profession, or 2 years of experience with a 2-year degree
