Senior Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead end‑to‑end payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing for all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the monthly payroll calendar, collect and validate attendance, overtime, allowances, deductions and unpaid leave, run calculations, perform reconciliations and issue payslips, bank files and payroll registers.
• Maintain a complete audit trail, conduct pre‑payroll validations, flag exceptions and implement corrective actions to ensure audit readiness.
• Coordinate statutory submissions such as tax and social security filings, validate benefit deductions and eligibility, and resolve payroll queries within service level agreements.
• Oversee final settlement (F&F) processing, validate inputs, run calculations, reconcile variances and produce related registers and reports.
• Drive continuous improvement by standardising templates, automating input packs and maintaining payroll SOPs, checklists and an exceptions playbook.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle payroll processing and payroll audit controls.
• Strong knowledge of statutory payroll regulations and employee benefits administration.
• Analytical mindset with ability to perform variance analysis and root‑cause investigations.
• Experience in process automation and documentation of standard operating procedures.
