Chief People Officer

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a visionary Chief People Officer to lead its global People function. Reporting directly to the CEO and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you will shape the people agenda that enables the organisation to fulfil its mission across 90 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a global people strategy that supports 12,000 employees in 50 country offices.
• Lead a team of ~70 FTE, overseeing talent acquisition, development, engagement, wellbeing and inclusion.
• Drive the transformation of Global People Services, stabilising operations, modernising HR systems and building an employee‑centred service model.
• Partner with Transformation and IT teams to design the future workforce and capability model.
• Act as trusted adviser to the CEO, senior leadership and Board on culture, leadership capability and organisational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Extensive senior HR or people leadership experience in a complex international organisation.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale HR transformation and organisational change.
• Strategic vision combined with operational rigour.
• Ability to influence across diverse cultures and stakeholder groups.
