External Relations Services Internship

About the role

This internship supports UNRWA’s External Relations Service in Amman, providing hands‑on experience in donor management, data analysis and communication. Working under the Head of External Relations Service and the Senior Donor Relations Officer, you will contribute to the preparation of financial overviews, donor reports and outreach materials.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the External Relations Service team with daily operations, focusing on data management, analysis and presentation using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Prepare financial overviews, donor‑related presentations and reports, ensuring accuracy and visual quality.
• Contribute to donor analysis by consolidating and interpreting funding data to support strategic decisions.
• Support grant management processes in collaboration with the Contributions and Projects Units, including tracking and internal coordination.
• Maintain the UNRWA Partnership Digest and donor datasets, updating factsheets and sector analysis templates.
• Provide research on donor priorities and funding trends, and help format proposal and programme documents.
• Assist in optimizing internal workflows, tools and templates to improve efficiency in donor tracking and reporting.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated (within one year) from a university program (Bachelor’s or higher) in Business Management, International Relations, Political Science, Development Studies, Journalism, Communications, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data consolidation, analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating clear, visual presentations.
