Field MEAL Coordinator

About the role

The Field MEAL Coordinator will support the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities at the field level for humanitarian projects. The role ensures that MEAL systems, tools and procedures are applied consistently across projects, enabling evidence‑based decision‑making, quality programming and accountability to affected populations. The coordinator also contributes to continuous learning and assists in the development of project‑specific MEAL plans.

Key responsibilities

• Support the effective implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities at the field level.
• Ensure that MEAL systems, tools, and procedures are properly applied across all projects.
• Contribute to evidence‑based decision‑making, quality programming, and accountability to affected populations (AAP).
• Facilitate continuous learning within project teams by promoting the use of MEAL findings.
• Assist in the development and implementation of project‑specific MEAL plans, tools and reporting mechanisms.
• Monitor the application of MEAL tools to verify compliance with established procedures.
