Guest Service Agent – Operator

About the role

The Guest Service Agent – Operator provides front‑line support to hotel guests, handling requests and inquiries through multiple communication channels. This full‑time position ensures a smooth and welcoming experience for all visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Answer, record, and process guest requests via telephone, email, chat, and mobile devices.
• Operate the telephone switchboard, manage wake‑up calls, and direct calls to the appropriate extensions.
• Receive, log, and relay messages accurately, then follow up to confirm resolution.
• Log all guest requests in the computer system and coordinate with relevant departments such as bell‑person and housekeeping.
• Provide information on room features, hotel amenities, and local attractions.
• Process room‑service orders, answer menu questions, and record transactions in the point‑of‑sale system.
• Assist guests with internet access and in‑room entertainment.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
• Clear, professional communication skills.
• Willingness to support guests with disabilities and follow quality‑assurance standards.
