Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Coordinator (also referred to as Housekeeping Order Taker) ensures that guest and team member requests are handled efficiently, maintaining high standards of service across the hotel. This position works closely with the Front Office, Floor Supervisors, and various service teams to keep operations smooth and responsive, especially during emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, delegate, and follow up on guest and staff service requests.
• Maintain and update the computerized Work Order System, logging all requests from initiation to closure.
• Coordinate with Floor Supervisors to ensure vacant and ready rooms are available for the Front Office.
• Monitor the alarm system, respond to emergency calls, dispatch appropriate personnel, and notify relevant departments.
• Control office traffic and ensure a professional, courteous image is presented at all times.
• Manage guest supplies, prepare requisitions, and handle lost‑and‑found items.
• Uphold the brand’s quality standards and remain calm during emergency situations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, or housekeeping.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple departments and prioritize tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand standards.
• Basic education (grade‑school level) with a professional attitude and reliable work ethic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a computerized Work Order System.
