Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager oversees daily operations of housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry (if applicable) at a hotel in Aqaba. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and inspected to meet quality standards while staying within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Verify guest‑room status is communicated promptly to the Front Desk.
• Conduct daily inspections of guestrooms and public spaces.
• Prepare work assignments based on room turnover and check‑out lists.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure adequate stock.
• Supervise an effective inspection program for all areas.
• Manage department budget and strive to meet or exceed financial targets.
• Ensure staff have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
• Lead daily shift operations, enforce housekeeping policies, and communicate performance expectations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
• Ability to train, schedule, and evaluate staff, and to handle HR activities such as attendance tracking and disciplinary procedures.
