Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician is responsible for responding to guest repair requests and maintaining the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This full‑time position ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, and a high level of guest satisfaction through timely maintenance and preventive care.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions, and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities; use Lockout/Tagout procedures before work.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and document daily activities for shift handovers.
• Conduct minor repairs: painting, drywall, wood‑trim, light‑bulb and A/C filter replacement, landscaping, and sprinkler system upkeep.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components, plumbing fixtures, pneumatic/electronic controls, and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions, update HVAC schedules via computer, and perform general housekeeping‑related inventory duties.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and energy‑conservation practices.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb unaided; heavier items may require assistance.
• Clear, professional communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
• Commitment to safety policies, proper handling of flammable materials, and confidentiality of company information.
