Laundry Attendant

About the role

The Laundry Attendant ensures that all linens, garments, and other textile items are cleaned, dried, and prepared to the highest standards for hotel operations. You will work with a range of washing, dry‑cleaning, and folding equipment in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning, and drying machinery, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps as required.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide whether to rewash, spot‑treat, repair, or discard.
• Inspect cleaned articles for quality, fold them by hand or using a folding machine, and place them in designated linen carts.
• Set dryer times and temperatures according to fabric type and maintain equipment cleanliness after each load.
• Maintain accurate records of items processed and report any safety or equipment issues to the supervisor.

Required profile

• No specific education requirement; high school diploma or GED not mandatory.
• No prior laundry experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift (≤25 lb), and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Commitment to follow safety, security, and company policies.

Required skills

• Operating laundry, washing, and dry‑cleaning machinery.
• Using folding machines and handling textile items.
